We had over 100 authors enter this year’s Young Authors event. These students are doing the “write” thing! Congratulations to all of the authors who submitted a piece. 📝✍️📖

Students in 4th through 8th received a visit from New York best selling author Michael Witwer. Michael Witwer spoke to our students about the writing process and read a part of his book, “Vivian Van Tassel and the Secret of Midnight Lake.” Students were very attentive and excited to listen and meet Mr. Witwer! 📕 ✍️

Culver students enjoyed viewing and learning about the solar eclipse. Teachers prepared planetary science lessons to help students understand the event. ☀️ 🌕 🌖

Today was one of the kindergarten students’ favorite days: Teddy Bear Picnic. Students, and their favorite stuffed animal, wrote about their bears, read and listened to stories about teddy bears, and even did science and math experiments. #d71excellence

Very proud of our student council representatives who visited Feed my Starving Children and packed over 21,000 meals for malnourished children. #d71excellence #proud

Congratulations to our 7th grade girls and their coach, Ms. Simkins, for such an amazing basketball season. They finished the regular season in first place with an undefeated record of 10-0. Tonight they took third place in the Little 9 tournament. Way to go Bulldogs! #d71excellence

When we saw that double rainbow this morning, we knew it was the perfect day for rainbow 🌈 day in Kindergarten @culverschool. Lil Rainbow, our kindergarten rapper, even made an appearance! #d71excellence

It was great to see so many students and parents in person at our Curriculum Night @culverschool. Parents had the opportunity to connect with staff, see their children’s learning spaces, and learn more about the curriculum and programming for students. #d71excellence
